This is all for Nathan...

I decided that it was time to make Nathan a quilt of his own. The one we have on his bed right now is ...shall I say it...a little girly. The only I quilt I have for him to use is kinda pink and not very boyish.

So, I told my mom what I wanted to do and we started collecting blues and greens for a one of a kind quilt for Nathan. When my parents were here for Nathan's birthday we spent Sunday laying it out. Here's a sneak peak of what it's gonna look like. Grandma Johnson was even nice enough to put together some pieced blocks so it has some character. Hopefully he'll like it, otherwise I might make him keep the pink one and I'll take his :) Just Kidding Nathan!! I am hoping to have it done within the next 9 weeks before we add the new baby to our family and I have no time available. I do have 3 rows together, so it's on it's way.

What a nut!!

Nathan decided that he wanted to dress himself for bed last night. He took his jammie top and pulled it on like it was pants up to his armpits. He didn't want my help at all! He even decided to store a puzzle piece in them. It sure was good for a laugh.
He finally did decide that he would let me get him dress properly, but it did take some convincing. He's such a nut!!!

Our Little Man...

Grandma and Grandpa Johnson got Nathan this cute Easter outfit for his birthday. I can't believe he is only 2, he looks like such a little man.

And he was very proud of his new shoes too.

How Beary Lucky we are...

These pictures were taken on St. Patrick's Day. Nathan was lounging around on his birthday, eating fruit snacks and having a lazy day.

Look who's turning two!!!

Nathan's two!!
Well not until Monday, but we had his birthday party on Saturday. Here are some pictures of the party and some of the things that he got.

Here's a picture of his car cake as well as some cupcakes I decorated to look like street signs. As you can see his car number is "2" and the speed limit sign also shows the number "2". All in celebration of this special day.

His FAVORITE balloon! We've watched the movie probably a dozen times this weekend and Nathan keeps asking for more. He's now dragging the balloon happily around the house.

Some pics of a few things he received:

This is a pillowcase that I made for him. He was wearing it as a cape. He wasn't sure what it was until I put it on his pillow later on.

Of course he received some Hot Wheels (more cars for the collection) and was showing them off to our friend Kimi. He was so excited when he opened them that we had a hard time getting him to show much interest in anything else.

This is a fun bubble machine we're opening here....

...we tried it out later. It's so much fun!

Since his birthday's on St. Patrick's day he got a teddy bear for the occasion. Sure is cute!

And also a cute St. Patrick's day shirt.

We'll be taking some more pictures for his actually birthday and get some better pics. The sweatshirt he's wearing was also a gift. As soon as he opened it the shirt he was wearing had to come off.

Thanks so much to everyone who came to celebrate Nathan's special day. Thanks for all the fun gifts. He's really enjoying the books and puzzles and I think the clothes are just great! We love you all and are so thankful that you could make it and hope everyone enjoys seeing all the pics.

Making the cake...

I decided to do a car theme for Nathan since that's pretty much all that he talks about...and since he can't get enough of the movie "Cars".

Here are some pictures of the cake as I am decorating it.

And by the time it was done, it actually looked like a car! And a pretty cute one at that!!

Just can't get enough of Nathan!

Grandma and Nathan

Nathan's grandma (Chris' mom) came over to watch Nathan last Saturday morning and they had a lot of fun reading books together and playing.
