Easter Sunday...

Sunday morning the kids got to check out what the Easter bunny brought them. Nathan had already found the baskets and eaten a chocolate bunny before Chris and I got up (can't keep him out of anything), so we figured we should get up and let the kids at them.

Checking out the Easter Baskets!
A cute little Easter Bunny!
Look, Another one!

No chocolate bunnies for the baby, just the cute pink squeeky kind.
After checking out the Easter baskets it was time to get ready for church.
Here's Audrey in her new Easter Dress. I had the daisy fabric in my stash and when I saw the pattern and knew that they had to go together. It turned out great.
I think she's lookin' pretty cute!
Here's Nathan "helping" Audrey keep her head straight.
Still turned out pretty cute.
Nathan in his outfit.
What a goof! Chris was making him giggle!
Didn't get a great picture of the kids together in their new outfits. Gonna have to try that again sometime. Audrey just wasn't in the mood!
We hope everyone had a lovely Easter Sunday with their families!

Easter Eggs...

We decorated eggs the night before Easter, Nathan had a lot of fun.
Audrey wasn't interested, she was trying to make her grand escape.

Nathan all ready to get started.
Stirring the egg colors.
Pretty!

Audrey trying to make that escape!
Nathan using the special magic crayon to draw on his eggs.

Our pretty eggs all done.

The Easter Egg Hunt...Nathan's at it again!

On Saturday April 11th Chris and I took the kids up to the West Valley Fitness Center for their Annual Easter Egg hunt. We thought it would be fun for both Nathan and Audrey.
Audrey could have cared less, but had a lot of fun watching everyone else. Nathan, well, he had fun...more to come on that.

Audrey and Daddy walking to the park.
Audrey was loving being on daddy's shoulders.
Nathan getting ready to go get some eggs (not sure what's with the look on his face).
So right after taking this picture, Nathan decided he'd had enough waiting and took off across the field. He didn't even go after the eggs or prizes. He picked up one but then threw it back.
I was going to follow and catch him, but he ran too fast and I didn't want to step on any of the prizes. Chris couldn't do anything, he was behind the crowd with Audrey. Nathan ran clear across the field and then waited there. He started to come back and got scared and I could barely hear him crying, so I had to walk out a ways to him to get him to come back...embarrassing!
Dang kid, not sure what we're gonna do with him yet! :)

After getting Nathan back with us.
It's almost time!
Sorry I didn't get any pictures of Nathan picking up any eggs and stuff. We were having too much fun to get pictures. I tried to get Audrey to pick up something, she just wanted to see what everyone else was doing instead.

After the egg hunt. Nathan checking out what he got.
An egg!

Even with Nathan running across the field, we did have a lot of fun.
We're not sure if we'll do it again next year. We're talking about having our own Easter egg hunt at our house next year. There were so many people and parents 'helping' the kids that we think doing our own will be even more fun.

*P.S. We ran into a member of the ward after the Egg Hunt and when she saw Nathan running across the field had told her mom..,"I know him."
What a kid! Not much else to say on that!

The good and the not so good...

The GOOD:
Audrey is getting so big. Here's some fun "good" things she's doing.
*She's not walking yet, but she's pulling herself up to standing and walking along all the furniture. Won't be long till she is walking.
*She loves to go outside and see all the wonders of the world.
*On Sunday during Sacrament meeting Audrey seemed to be waving at the person leading the music, I didn't think she was really waving until we were sitting in Relief Society singing and she started waving at the person conducting. Such a cutie!
*Audrey has always had a patch of hair on top that's been pretty long, well she came home from Daycare with it up in her first little ponytail.
*Daddy's taught Audrey how to give cute slobbery kisses. Love it!
*Tonight while I was playing with her, she had her binkie in her mouth and was sticking her tongue out at the same time. Such a silly one. (Sorry no pics, didn't think about it until just now).
Audrey's first little ponytail.

The NOT SO GOOD:
Not that Nathan doesn't have his good moments too, he just seems to be having more not so good lately that seem to be standing out. Here's some of his "not so good" things. (Yes I know, some are kinda funny too.)
*Nathan has learned to climb the fence, he hasn't quite figured out how to climb over it but I'm sure it's not far away.
*He has figured out how to open the front gate. Just found that out last Saturday, now we have to tied the gate shut to keep him in the yard. His favorite thing to do now is run out of the yard go across the street to the neighbors to play on their slide or go up on their deck.
*Not only can he get out of the yard now, he has also figured out how to undo the baby gate at the top of the stairs and now can even unlock the door. As of now he can't get the deadbolt open, but again I'm sure that's something he'll be doing soon too. Then to figure out a new way to keep him in the house.
*He's also been known lately to run a lap or two around the congregation during Sacrament meeting. At least the bishop and everyone else are laughing :)
*****
Since Nathan has reached 3 and I am now hoping the terrible 2's will end soon, except for I'm not sure I'm ready for these terrible 3's. The funny thing is that his teacher daycare told us when he was a baby that since he was so mellow that he'd be a piece of cake now...not so much. Audrey so far has been even more mellow then Nathan was...I'm wondering what we have in store for us with her.

I am such a slacker!

I'm not sure what's happened with me lately, but unfortunately for anyone who may frequent this blog...I have become a slacker!
I apologize to anyone who hasn't seen any updated pics of my kids or heard of any of the new shenanigans happening her in the Hepworth household. I promise we are all well and kicking!
I have much to blog about...well at least a post or 2 to catch you all up on. I promise they are coming soon.

And I will do better at making my updates on time and not being such a slacker!!
