This weeks Halloween fun!

We had a fun Halloween week starting last Saturday with our wards Chili Cook Off and Trunk-r-Treat. Our chili didn't win, but we had some fun that day.
Here's Nathan when after we pulled out the accessories for his costume. He had to try them on and ended up wearing them for a while before putting the whole costume together later that night. Our cute little Audrey.
Nathan showing off his whole get up! Our little pirate.
I didn't get a picture of Audrey in her costume, but did get one with her showing off her cute little pumpkin shirt!

We also had a fun party at our friends parents with all their friends and family! It was fun to see everyone dressed up. We missed our friends Kimi and Les and family, hopefully we'll be able to see them at next years party all dressed up.

Yesterday was a busy Halloween day. We started by getting the kids ready and taking them to the daycare for a little Halloween fun. The day about 9 in the morning, we then went to my work for Nathan to go trick-or-treating there. He got sooo much candy! I couldn't believe it. Audrey fell asleep for most of it. I guess it's not too exciting for a 5 month old.
Nathan the pirate. Arrgh!!! I loved that he would actually wear the eye patch. It made it difficult to put his candy in his bag, but he's had a blast all week wearing it. The earing on the other hand, we're lucky we got a few good pictures with it on. He didn't like that too much.
We then had some friends come over to eat some good food with us and help hand out candy and go trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. My sister Gina joined us in all of her 80's glory. Here's Aunti Gigi, Nathan and our little strawberry Audrey!!!I had to get a picture of just my sister in her get-up. It was pretty great. Big hair and all.Audrey the cute little Strawberry!! (I need to get some better pictures. She spit up on it and it needs to be washed then we'll try again)And finally Chris.
This was a new mask that we bought this year. It's really cool! Nathan's not too sure about it, but is getting better with it. (Chris had scared him pretty good earlier this month with the mask that's behind him with the nasty teeth. Not good.) To get Nathan to get used to it, we'd pull it out and started calling it the "papa mask". That seemed to help him with it.

We had a lot of fun this Halloween, but I'm sure glad it's over! Now for Thanksgiving and Christmas......Bring it on!!!

What we've been up to...

Since it's been a little while since I've posted anything...I thought I'd post some pictures of us from the last couple weeks.

This was the last nice day before it started to really get cold. We spent a little time outside blowing bubbles and having fun.

A week ago Monday for FHE we decided to paint some pumpkins. Nathan had a blast! I tried to put an old T-shirt on him but he wouldn't let me, that would be why he is only wearing his diaper.
Contemplating his pumpkin? I'm not sure what this was about.
Chris got in on the fun too!
Audrey didn't paint one, but she's still supporting us and looking cute.
The finished pumpkins. (Yes I helped Nathan with his. He needed a pirate!)Nathan trying on Daddy's hat.
Audrey must have had too much fun in her saucer. She just wore herself out.
I found Chris and Audrey zonked out the other night. Too cute, had to take a picture.

More completed projects...

I've still been working on completing more projects since we've had Audrey, in case anyone's been wondering, and have finished a few (I can't show you all of them, some are for Christmas and I wouldn't want to ruin any surprises!)
Here's a peak at 2 things I've done with more to come.

This cute bag was made as a church bag for toys and such, but with having 6 outside pockets works great as a diaper bag and since I needed a new (bigger) one anyway, it's perfect. The best part...everything except for the straps for the handle were all leftovers from other projects. I got the pattern out of this fun magazine "Quilts and More".These 2 beanie hats were made to donate to work for it's annual "boo-tique" (I know cheesy) to earn money for our United Way campaign. Again left over yarn so no cost to me! Yay!
Now I'm having fun trying to also get caught up on scrapbooking, so I might post a few of those as I get them done too.

Enjoy!

Too cute!!

I decided to post some random pics again. Nothing really exciting happening around here.

Looks like Nathan's up to something, or will be soon....

My boys!

Nathan and mom. A little self portrait, glad I only got part of my face :)
And our little princess! She's been enjoying her self quite a bit in her little exersaucer. Got a few pictures of the fun!

This picture makes me laugh. She's always sticking her fingers in her mouth giving herself the fishhook, but this picture reminds me of Dr. Evil from Austin Powers..."One million dollars!" LOL

I can!!!

So, last year when we planted our garden we really wanted to be able to can some stuff. Mainly salsa. Well we didn't get our tomatoes on soon enough or nearly enough when they did start to ripen to do anything.
Well, this year we had plenty of tomatoes and we were able to make 2 batches of salsa. I made a mild batch (for me) last weekend and this weekend made a hot batch (for Chris, although he says it's not too hot, whatever!). Here's some pictures of the yummy stuff.

This is it cookin', waiting for it to boil.
Getting it put into jars.
Into the hot water they go.
The finished product. Yummy!!!!
Will the success of my canning this year, although not much, we hope to do more next year. I may get in some whole tomatoes this year, but that all depends on how many more tomatoes I can get before the vines freeze...and how ambitious I get! I'll keep ya posted.
