I want to make that someday!

So I've decided to do a post of some of the projects I have found online that I would like to make someday. I figure some of you might want to do some of these as well and I can save you some time from searching websites all day and night (like I seem to do).

I just found this one last night and I love it. A cute Ruffle Sleeve Top. It's for a size 4/5T but I think I can size it down for a littler girl.

I've seen lots of instructions for these, but have yet to try to try one out. The Pillowcase Dress. Here's another Pillowcase Dress tutorial with a twist...it's reversible...two dresses in one, can't get any better then that!

Need a Storage Container? Here's one made with fabric and some cardboard. I can see some cute ones with some car or dino fabric for Nathan in my future! Oh and how about some for Audrey in pinks and greens, and to put in my bathroom....the possibilities are endless.

A cute little Backpack. I'm thinking Christmas present for Nathan for this one.

Something for your little one who's learning their ABC's. Rag Quilt Letters!

If you sew, or want to learn how to sew, here's a simple but really cute pattern for a Disappearing 9 Patch. I've done regular 9 patch patterns before, but really want to try this one out!

How about something cute for you to carry around. Look at this Buttercup Bag Purse. I love it! Gonna have to make one in every color! J/K!!

Need a game for the kids? How about some Tic Tac Toe?

Do you have little girls who love dress up?? Here's some instructions for making your very own TuTu's. And another one...No Sew TuTu.

I also think these Pillowcases are so pretty! I love pillows and pretty fabrics!

This is really just the top of the barrel of fun things I've found to make. I'll share some more at a later date, don't want to overwhelm anyone with all this good stuff!!

Hey! I just had a thought, if there is something you would like to make too, let me know and maybe we'll have a little sewing night...or two, together with my friends and we can put together some of these little projects.

Or if you find a project online that you'd like to try, but aren't sure how to, or just want to share with me...Let me know and I'll help you figure it out or we'll try making it together!!

What do ya think? Any takers??

P.S. If you don't have a sewing machine, but really want to try one of these projects out yourself let me know and you can come over an use my machines, I have 2 so we can still both sew :)

What I've been working on lately...

These are some of the things that I've been crocheting and sewing lately. Hmm...maybe I'll work on something tonight...anyway, some crocheted bags and some crayon holders.
A little closer look at the pattern. It's really fun to make and see finished. Gonna probably be making more of these.
Another bag almost finished and the black and pink yarn is for another one I'll be making soon. These are all gifts that will hopefully be getting to their owners very soon. Can't tell you who, you never know who might be getting them...could be you!
I'm also working on some crayon holders too, these will also be going to some cute kids I know. There's one finished, one in progress and a couple cut out. All these fabrics came from my stash. I love making things from stuff that I already have!
These are new projects, but I still have plans to finish some more projects that have been in the works for a while. Once I get all of these done I'll be moving on to some of those projects.

P.S. If you'd like to try to make some cute crayon holders yourself, you can find a cute pattern here. It's not the same pattern that I have but it's cute too, I just don't have any ric rac sitting around to make those. My pattern came from the Quilts and More magazine Fall 2008.

Batman in the house

Nathan made a Batman mask at daycare the other day and had some fun showing it off to us.

Wearing it on top of his head.
Here he is with it on.
(I thought it was a triceratops, shows what I know).
Trying to share it with Audrey. What a nice boy!

Bonus pic.
Nathan put his hat on backwards to go with Chris to the store, makes him look a lot older then he is I think. My baby is growing up for sure!

Getting even...

We've been warning Nathan since Audrey was born that he'd better watch out, one of these days Audrey's gonna be big enough and she'll get even with you for picking on her all these past months.
We'll the other day, she had some fun with Nathan. She went over and just climbed up on him to sit and bounce on him. I'm sure there will be more of this going on in the years to come, she's looking to be one feisty little girl. She'll for sure be able to hold her own with Nathan one day.
Now, I don't want anyone to think that Audrey doesn't love her brother, she adores him. I love to watch how she looks at him. There is lots of love in that little girl and we are so blessed to have her in our lives.
This one cracks me up. She's checking out his belly button.
Just beat up Nathan, what fun!
P.S. While posting this Audrey is having a great time dancing to the end credit music of Shrek the Third. What a cute little girl!

What do you keep in your fridge?

I opened the fridge to get a snack for the kids after the park and Audrey sat right down.
I guess it's a good seat to sit at when your hot from playing. :)
My silly girl!

Family Fun at the Park

Summertime fun outside...

The kids just LOVE to go outside and play. Audrey even gets upset with me when we get home at night and I don't let her stay out and play. When we went outside the other day I took the camera to capture some of the fun we had.

Nathan found a bug and decided he needed to play with it. I feel bad for the bug every time he finds one since I know the poor bug probably isn't gonna make it out alive.
This one did live though, he rolled off Nathan's hand and into the grass where Nathan couldn't find him.
Lucky bug!

Nathan was showing off and "fell" into the grass so I could take his picture.
My cute baby girl!

Nathan giving me his cheesy grin.

We had some fun, even played a little frisbee and even lost one on the roof. We are trying to enjoy the evenings when it cools down and really enjoy going out and playing with the kids.

What kinds of things do you do in the Summer evenings with your family?

Seeing Bees

On July 25th Chris the kids and I headed out to see a Salt Lake Bee's baseball game and a fireworks show after. It was the summer party put on by my work so it didn't cost us anything, so we were able to get out with some friends and have some fun without it costing us a thing.
Although it was pretty fun, if I had to do it again I'm not sure we would have taken the kids. They were okay for maybe the first hour and were pretty restless the rest of the time. It was a hot night out and they're still little enough they don't have a clue what's going on yet with the game so they didn't enjoy it too much.

Here's some pictures of some of the fun we did have.

Chris and Nathan checking out the game.
Bee's #1!!!

That isn't sweat running off Audrey's nose I promise! I'd just been splashing water on her face.
Nathan was so excited to see Bumble throughout the game, and when he got close enough to us he went and got him to Autograph his baseball card.
A shot of the game.
Final score: SL 3 Portland 8.
We did hang out after and watch the fireworks. Neither Audrey or Nathan enjoyed them too much, they were too tired and hungry and they were really loud.
On the way home we saw the fireworks show over at Rocky Mountain Raceway and Nathan liked those saying they were pretty and wanted to see more. I guess he just doesn't like them up close when they are so loud.
We had a fun weekend, with celebrating the 24th of July the night before.

Found...

I have found a great website that will take you to tons and tons of blogs and other websites to help you craft, sew, cook, decorate, etc... to your hearts content!!
If you have a few minutes...or a few hours (I just spent 2 hours 'browsing' websites) go check it out. It is giving me great ideas for lots and lots of new stuff to try and has even given me a little inspiration of my own.
Gotta play around with my idea and see how it works out. I'll let ya know.

P.S. I promise to get some updated post going on here soon.
